Diane Carbo

Diane Carbo, RN brings more than 54 years of hands-on experience in nursing, caregiving, care management, discharge planning, home care, hospice, rehabilitation, assisted living, and long-term care leadership. Her perspective is grounded not only in her professional career, but also in
a lifetime of personal caregiving experience.
 

Diane has been a caregiver since her teenage years and has cared for multiple family members, including her disabled veteran son, whose years of severe chronic pain deeply shaped her understanding of the emotional, physical, and practical burdens families carry.
 

Professionally, Diane has served as Director of Nursing for a large assisted living community,
held an assisted living administrator’s license, worked as a care manager with insurance
companies, and held regional management, sales, and marketing roles with national long-term care organizations. This broad background gives her a practical understanding of resident care,
family concerns, care transitions, operations, communication, and the pressures facing senior living providers.
 

Diane is the founder of Caregiver Relief and creator of My Vital Vault, a care coordination and emergency preparedness system designed to help families reduce preventable crises, medical errors, and unsafe care transitions.
 

She brings to the board a compassionate, practical, and systems-based perspective focused on dignity, safety, caregiver support, and quality of life for older adults.

Giancarlo Paolillo

Giancarlo Paolillo is a seasoned technology executive and company founder with over three decades of experience in IT and technology leadership. 

Throughout his distinguished career, he has held critical leadership positions including CIO at YipTV and ACN, CTO at X Plus One, Head of Emerging Technologies & Cybersecurity at Household International (now HSBC) where he designed/managed E-commerce solutions for over 30 million credit card customers across the EU and USA, and Senior VP of Engineering & Cybersecurity at Vonage where he successfully scaled the company's infrastructure from 6 to 36 points of presence while growing the client base from under 100,000 to over 2 million customers in less than two years.

More recently, under Aegis Tech Venture, designed AI solutions as well as “change agent” for medium to global companies dealing with Cybersecurity issues in which he had to revamp tech stack as well as organization and processes.  Currently fractional for Sunstone Management Advisors as their Technology Enablement

As requested by Dr. Kimberly Haywood, provided chapters for her recent book “Emerging Technologies Impact on AI Governance” and “Predictive Regulatory Changes”.

His comprehensive expertise spans from AI (stand alone and integration with current business systems), network infrastructure, systems engineering, capacity planning, network security, and E-commerce infrastructure, with a proven track record of building and securing enterprise-level systems, developing disaster recovery solutions, and leading organizations through SOX/AS5 compliance migrations.

Early in his career, Giancarlo designed turn-key system solutions for municipal clients including Jersey City Police/Fire, Union City Police, Morristown Police/Fire, and Newark Municipality, demonstrating his ability to deliver innovative technology solutions across diverse sectors while consistently driving growth and operational excellence.

Tara Slaughter

Tara Slaughter is the Co-Founder and Owner of CFS Medical Supplies & Equipment and
CFS Solutions DBS, organizations dedicated to improving patient safety, accessibility,
caregiver support, and quality of life through durable medical equipment, healthcare
consulting, and educational services.
Tara holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management and is a Certified Durable Medical Equipment Specialist (CDME) and California HDMR Exemptee.

She brings extensive hands on experience supporting seniors, caregivers, healthcare providers, assisted living communities, rehabilitation teams, and families navigating complex care needs. Her expertise includes specialty medical beds, mobility and positioning solutions, fall prevention strategies, pressure redistribution surfaces, wheelchair accessibility, aging-in-place support, and caregiver-centered equipment planning.

Tara is recognized for her patient-centered and solutions-driven approach, combining
practical field experience with a deep understanding of healthcare operations, care
transitions, accessibility challenges, and long-term support needs in both home and
facility environments.

Through CFS Solutions DBS, she also develops educational initiatives and consultation
services focused on empowering caregivers, improving healthcare awareness, and helping
organizations better support aging and medically complex populations.
Tara is also the Co-host of the podcast “The Medical Equipment World & Healthcare: Get
the Scoop!”, where she discusses healthcare challenges, caregiver support, medical
equipment solutions, accessibility, and industry insights with professionals and
community leaders. In addition, she contributes to healthcare-related podcast
discussions and collaborative educational initiatives focused on improving patient and
caregiver experiences.

In addition to her healthcare leadership, Tara has experience in government contracting,
community partnerships, and healthcare innovation initiatives designed to bridge gaps
between clinical care, accessibility, and everyday living.

As a member of the Lumyn Care Advisory Board, Tara provides insight into patient safety,
caregiver experience, accessibility solutions, and practical healthcare support systems
that help improve the lives of seniors and families navigating dementia and long-term care challenges.
